"It takes a village" is an African proverb which means that it takes an entire community of different people interacting with children in order for a child to experience and grow in a safe environment. Village of Hope is an organization in San Lucas Guatemala that has put this into practice and are providing family, faith and future to special needs children and vulnerable mothers in a family style setting.
